Guide Healthcare has been supporting aged care providers with allied health services since 2018. We now provide services in 3 states across Australia, with a team of more than 50 clinicians, management, and support staff. Our leadership team has more than 20 years experience supporting organisations in the areas of allied health, pain management, ACFI consultancy and recruitment.

Guide Healthcare was created out of a desire to do allied health in aged care differently. We wanted to demonstrate that residents had the capacity to improve physically, to be happier, challenged, inspired, and empowered. We knew that through creativity and innovation, we could make aged care better. Our vision is to deliver positive change, in any form.

You’ve come to the right place! Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles in aged care are regularly described as repetitive and boring. Not at Guide Healthcare. Whilst we recognise the importance of assisting homes with their pain management objectives, our focus is on assisting older adults to live healthier and happier lives. We want you to implement creative, innovative, and evidence-based treatment programs. And we’ll support you to do it! We provide all of our partner homes with lots of equipment, plenty of support and loads of innovative ideas – some of them may even be yours! At Guide Healthcare, we don’t treat older people like “old people”.

We know how much you care about the residents you support. We care too. Guide Healthcare’s allied health teams will not only improve the quality of life of your residents; we will also assist you to meet the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, as well as your organisations' standards of care.

We do things differently. We will proactively drive your funding efforts through pain management, and the activities of daily living and complex healthcare domain more broadly. And we’ll make sure you keep it through effective training, documentation, auditing, and compliance systems. Our difference is that we aren’t just funding focused. We will ensure that your residents are empowered to move, face challenges, reach goals and have fun. We’ll ensure that they feel connected, and part of a community. Not only in the walls of your home, but with residents from across Australia through our cross-site events and competitions. And we’ll give back, by donating equipment, providing opportunities and continuing to push the boundaries of allied health in aged care.

Allied health in home care is awesome! At Guide Healthcare, we don’t just want to support older adults to remain living in their homes, we want them to live their best lives at home. And it’s possible. On the back of the royal commission report into aged care noting that consumers with access to home care packages are spending between 1-2% of their budgets on allied health, we made it our mission to create a service that is more accessible, more affordable and more effective.

In 2021, we started working with home care and CHSP providers, to develop service packages that reduce the cost to the consumer without compromising on quality. These packages are designed to work towards the consumer's individual goals. This might be to improve mobility or prevent future falls. Moreover, it might be to get back to playing golf, mowing the lawn, going dancing or climbing a ladder. Through a single package, we ensure access to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology. We’ve created a truly multidisciplinary approach to wellness and reablement for home care and CHSP consumers. As Guide’s, we don’t pick the path, we just show the way.

We provide Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology throughout all of our regions. We have well-established systems in place to ensure that your time is spent doing the things which you enjoy, supporting older adults. Our head office team assists with coordinating and scheduling appointments, creating professional development opportunities, sending reports and keeping you up to date with any changes.
