We knew that through creativity and innovation, we could make aged care better. Our vision is to deliver positive change, in any form.

  • You’ve come to the right place! Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles in aged care are regularly described as repetitive and boring. Not at Guide Healthcare. Whilst we recognise the importance of assisting homes with their pain management objectives, our focus is on assisting older adults to live healthier and happier lives. We want you to implement creative, innovative, and evidence-based treatment programs. And we’ll support you to do it! We provide all of our partner homes with lots of equipment, plenty of support and loads of innovative ideas – some of them may even be yours! At Guide Healthcare, we don’t treat older people like “old people”.

We recognise that Physiotherapist’s and Occupational Therapist’s aren’t the same! We build our teams around the needs of the residents we support. And we want you to implement services that are relevant to your clinical background and which you are passionate about.

Still not convinced? We don’t think like a healthcare company. We aim to give you the perks of a corporate role, whilst fulfilling your desire to help others. We want you to have a great experience from applying, to onboarding, throughout your time as part of our team. And if you decide to leave, we want you to look back and think, “I had a great time with Guide”. You’ll get regular surprises, professional development opportunities, team events and incentives to succeed.

  • We know how much you care about the residents you support. We care too. Guide Healthcare’s allied health teams will not only improve the quality of life of your residents; we will also assist you to meet the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards, as well as your organisations' standards of care.

We do things differently. We will proactively drive your funding efforts through pain management, and the activities of daily living and complex healthcare domain more broadly. And we’ll make sure you keep it through effective training, documentation, auditing, and compliance systems. Our difference is that we aren’t just funding focused. We will ensure that your residents are empowered to move, face challenges, reach goals and have fun. We’ll ensure that they feel connected, and part of a community. Not only in the walls of your home, but with residents from across Australia through our cross-site events and competitions. And we’ll give back, by donating equipment, providing opportunities and continuing to push the boundaries of allied health in aged care.

We have well-established systems and processes, which means we can implement our programs anywhere in Australia.

  • We love working in aged care. It’s our passion. We also recognise that aged care residents often need additional support from allied health teams. This can’t always be provided by the organisation or home in which the older person is living. We can help. If you think your family member or friend who is living at home or in residential aged care could benefit from a review from a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Podiatrist, or Dietician, please get in touch.

We support home care providers.

We support home care providers who are working with older adults through home care packages and commonwealth home support program funding. Guide Healthcare has been proactive in its consultation with the home care sector, designing a range of service packages to improve the quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of allied health services. We understand the importance of clear communication and reporting mechanisms and have established systems and processes to ensure that your staff and your clients feel supported and connected. Our clinicians are armed with all of the resources they need to be effective. We are a truly mobile service.

  • Allied health in home care is awesome! At Guide Healthcare, we don’t just want to support older adults to remain living in their homes, we want them to live their best lives at home. And it’s possible. On the back of the royal commission report into aged care noting that consumers with access to home care packages are spending between 1-2% of their budgets on allied health, we made it our mission to create a service that is more accessible, more affordable and more effective.

In 2021, we started working with home care and CHSP providers, to develop service packages that reduce the cost to the consumer without compromising on quality. These packages are designed to work towards the consumer's individual goals. This might be to improve mobility or prevent future falls. Moreover, it might be to get back to playing golf, mowing the lawn, going dancing or climbing a ladder. Through a single package, we ensure access to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology. We’ve created a truly multidisciplinary approach to wellness and reablement for home care and CHSP consumers. As Guide’s, we don’t pick the path, we just show the way.

Working in partnership with public and private hospitals, medical centres, mental health, allied health, clinics, corporate health, and imaging facilities we can assist you by overseeing the complete medical recruitment process.

  • Guide Recruitment was born out of a chance encounter of old friends. Our founder, Simon Kerrigan had requested some help to message a number Recruitment Managers through LinkedIn to see if anyone would be interested in building a health care recruitment service under the Guide brand. What followed was inmails sent to every CEO, Business Owner, Director and Manager connected to Simon’s profile. After overcoming the initial embarrassment and spending the afternoon sending apology messages, it became a great lesson in the importance of providing clearer instructions. The other positive, was that Simon received a response from his old friend and his current Head of Recruitment, Ibrahim Khalil.
